"I Love YOU for who you are and not what you make up for the world." Where the hell is this line gone?!?

In today's virtual world, everything needs to be 'perfect' and heck that's legit, not possible. No way Hose.

I find myself looking at the mirror before a Zoom remarking on how my hair looks, if I wore makeup or not, how much of my upper torso is going to be visible, etc. And as soon as it's over I'm back to my home bug, messy self. WHY?!?

Is it "being professional"?

Is it "not showing too much of my personal self"?

Is it "putting up a farse for the benefit of others"?

Who knows? Who cares? Who will it affect the most?

ME!!!! I am the one who's going to go through mental turmoil.
